In the beginning there were the strange drawings by Mannheim-based Art Brut artist Ernst Kolb that fascinated me, and I contacted experts who found them extremely interesting. “RAWVISION No. 79” introduced the artist and the “Collection de l'Art Brut” in Lausanne acquired Kolb drawings at the end of 2012 based on the reference and organized an exhibition of Kolb's works 6 years later two years ago.
Until 2012, Ernst Kolb did not exist on the Internet. That changed with a contribution on Wikipedia, but for copyright reasons, his drawings could be showen in 2063 only, 70 years after his death. This was the reason for this page was to start in March 2013 to show privately owned drawings and overr a link, to present them on Wikipedia as well.
The site was completely redesigned in 2020. You are very welcome to contact me by mail (Aussenseiterkunst@gmail.com). As a lover and collector of Art Brut, I look forward to any contact with visitors, interested parties and like-minded people. There is always something new to discover (see LinkNew acquisitions). The website has grown rapidly over the years and it is practically impossible for me alone to check all links and descriptions on well over 2000 pages and unfortunately errors keep creeping in.
